Repointing with Lime

Removing Portland Cement which causes Bath stone to spall after frosts. Replacing the cement with lime mortar allows the wall to breath and move without damaging the natural Bath stone.

Masonry Repairs

Replacing bricks and stone which have been damaged by weather erosion, Portland cement, frost damage, accidents or subsidence. We pride ourselves on our invisible repairs, carefully matching historic materials with hand thrown bricks, locally quarried Bath Stone and lime mortar.

Joinery Repairs

We use the SPAB approach of retaining as much of the original joinery as possible replacing any rotten timber with native hard or soft woods such as Oak and high quality Pine.
